Job Purpose

The Medical Officer will be responsible for providing high-quality clinical care to patients, participating in multidisciplinary patient management, supporting teaching and training activities, and contributing to the hospital's mission of delivering sustainable excellent holistic healthcare services.

Key Responsibilities


Assess, diagnose, treat, and manage patients in outpatient, inpatient, emergency, and specialized care settings.
Develop and implement appropriate treatment plans in accordance with established clinical guidelines and best practices.
Perform medical procedures within the scope of practice and competence.
Participate in ward rounds, clinical audits, mortality and morbidity reviews, and quality improvement initiatives.
Maintain accurate and timely patient records and clinical documentation.
Collaborate effectively with consultants, nurses, allied health professionals, and other healthcare workers in patient management.
Provide health education and counseling to patients and their families.
Participate in emergency call duties, outreach programs, and community health initiatives as assigned.
Support the training and mentorship of medical students, interns, and other healthcare trainees.
Contribute to research, innovation, and evidence-based clinical practice.
Adhere to professional, ethical, legal, and regulatory standards governing medical practice.


Qualifications & Experience


Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB) degree or equivalent from a recognized institution.
Registered and licensed by the Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentists Council (KMPDC).
Valid practicing license.
Completion of internship training.
At least one (1) year of post-internship clinical experience will be an added advantage.
Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) will be an added advantage.
