Job Description
A leading software company specialising in Manahattan Associate Warehouse Management Software Sales, Implementation and Support Partners is looking for a Mid to Senior Project Manager to join their team in Johannesburg, GP.
Responsibilities:
Participate in the development of project plans to determine scope, budget, and timeframes to ensure quality and successful project execution
Produce detailed work plans with appropriate timelines and budgets, matching resources against project priorities
Execute in support of business strategy and objectives
Coordinate and manage the delivery of multiple, large-scale, complex projects to successful completion in accordance with scope, budget (including Earned Value Analysis), timeframe, and service level agreements
Resolve issues, conflicts, dependencies, and critical path deliverables; escalate to programme and management as required
Track and report on project/programme status and performance
Monitor adherence to budget, project deliverables, dependencies, and timeframes
Identify and manage project risks; devise suitable mitigation and minimisation plans to ensure successful and on-time project delivery
Document project management processes including minutes of meetings, progress reports, and appropriate information collection and storage
Contribute to process improvement initiatives to improve project delivery
Lead project teams and promote a culture of performance excellence, employee engagement, innovation, and transformation
Ensure utilisation of project management toolsets available within SCJ, including:
Mavenlink: Creation and monitoring of projects (scheduling, resource allocation, progress monitoring, tasks, weekly stand-up meetings, status reports)
Mavenlink Task Scheduler & Resource Planner: Monitoring of time spent by the project team
Budget Tracking: Maintaining detailed project budget tracking including Earned Value Reporting
Project Plan: Maintaining and updating the detailed project plan against the approved project baseline
Provide assistance to SCJ management and sales teams when required or requested
Contribute to long-term project delivery strategies that allow SCJ to consistently improve services and offerings
Maintain good stakeholder relations by ensuring all stakeholders are updated regularly and provided with a professional service
Complete timesheets accurately and timely in accordance with tasks completed
Timesheet Submissions: Ensure all timesheets are reviewed and accurate prior to final submission to management on or before the weekly due date
Internal Systems Compliance: Ensure all internal SCJ systems are utilised in the most appropriate manner
Provide good customer service by answering queries and questions from customers timeously
Consider, assist, and recommend initiatives that can improve the way SCJ operates internally or within its customer base
Identify, develop, and drive initiatives to bring in additional revenue opportunities for the SCJ team
Be an enthusiastic self-starter constantly looking for ways to improve your skillsets in relation to improving our customers' and internal team's experience and delivery
Pro-actively support and mentor project team members
Review and provide input to assist in improving the deliverables of fellow team members where required
Requirements:
Minimum: NQF 6 qualification (preferably in Engineering, IT, Commerce, or Business)
Preferred: NQF 7 qualification (preferably in Engineering, IT, Commerce, or Business)
Recognised Project Management qualification such as:
CAPM / PMP
Prince 2
Tertiary Project Management qualification
Technical Skills
Experience in the use of:
MS Project
MS Visio
MS Office
Industry Experience
Experience in ERP / Warehouse Management Systems implementations
Experience in a consulting business environment
Strong understanding of:
