Key Responsibilities
Operational Supervision:
Supervise and coordinate daily milling activities, including reception, sterilization, threshing, pressing, clarification, and kernel recovery.
Monitor process parameters to ensure maximum oil extraction rate (OER) and minimum losses.
Ensure that equipment is operated according to standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Production & Quality Control:
Monitor the quality of Fresh Fruit Bunches (FFB) and finished products to meet company and regulatory standards.
Maintain production records, prepare daily operational reports, and submit them to the Mill Manager.
Implement measures to reduce waste, improve yield, and optimize efficiency.
Team Management:
Supervise mill operators, maintenance crew, and other assigned personnel.
Train, mentor, and guide staff to ensure skill development and adherence to safety and quality standards.
Assign tasks and monitor staff performance, taking corrective actions when necessary.
Maintenance & Safety:
Coordinate with the maintenance team to ensure timely servicing, repairs, and preventive maintenance of mill equipment.
Enforce health, safety, and environmental (HSE) policies to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment.
Report any breakdowns or safety hazards immediately and follow up on corrective measures.
Inventory & Resource Control:
Monitor and manage stock levels of mill consumables, chemicals, and spare parts.
Ensure proper storage and usage of chemicals in line with safety requirements.
Qualifications & Skills
Bachelor's Degree or Higher National Diploma (HND) in Mechanical Engineering, Agricultural Engineering, Industrial Technology, or related fields
3 - 5 years experience in palm oil milling operations, preferably in a supervisory role.
Strong knowledge of milling processes, palm oil machinery, and quality control procedures.
Good leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and mill reporting systems.
Strong commitment to safety, quality, and operational efficiency.
Must be willing to relocate to anywhere in the Country
Preferred:
Experience in implementing preventive maintenance schedules.
Knowledge of ISO, RSPO, or other quality and sustainability standards in palm oil production.
Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, based on operational needs.
