Motor Vehicle Painter at Karmec Company Ltd - Motor Vehicle Painter

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Motor Vehicle Painter to join our vehicle assembly team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing vehicle surfaces, applying paint and protective coatings, and ensuring high-quality finishes that meet company and industry standards.


Duties & Responsibilities


Prepare vehicle bodies and components for painting by cleaning, sanding, masking, and priming surfaces.
Mix paints, hardeners, and thinners according to manufacturer specifications.
Apply primer, base coat, clear coat, and other protective finishes using spray-painting equipment.
Inspect painted surfaces for defects such as runs, blemishes, or color inconsistencies and carry out corrective work where necessary.
Match paint colors to approved vehicle specifications and quality standards.
Operate and maintain spray booths, spray guns, compressors, and other painting equipment.
Ensure proper drying and curing of painted components.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe paint shop in accordance with company health, safety, and environmental procedures.
Handle paints, and other hazardous materials safely and in compliance with regulations.
Work closely with assembly, body building and quality control teams to meet production schedules.
Perform routine maintenance on painting equipment and report any faults.


Qualifications and Requirements


Certificate, Diploma, in Motor Vehicle Spray Painting, Automotive Refinishing, or a related field.
Proven experience in automotive painting within a vehicle assembly or repair environment.
Knowledge of automotive paint systems, color matching, and spray-painting techniques.
Ability to operate spray-painting equipment and related tools safely and effectively.
Good attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality finishes.
Understanding of workplace health, safety, and environmental requirements.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
