JOB SUMMARY
The Network Planning & Scheduling Manager is responsible for planning, developing, and optimizing Air Peace's flight network and schedules to maximize revenue, connectivity, and operational efficiency.
The role ensures that schedules align with market demand, fleet availability, slot allocations, and commercial objectives.
The Manager oversees schedule development, route performance monitoring, and coordination with commercial, operations, and commercial teams.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Network Planning
Support the Head of Network Planning in developing the airline's domestic, regional, and international network strategy.
Analyze market demand, competitor networks, and route profitability to identify new route opportunities.
Optimize network connectivity, frequencies, and aircraft utilization to maximize revenue and operational efficiency.
Conduct feasibility studies and scenario analysis for new routes, capacity changes, or network adjustments.
Schedule Development & Optimization
Develop and maintain flight schedules in line with commercial, operational, and fleet requirements.
Ensure schedules comply with regulatory requirements, slot allocations, and airport restrictions.
Collaborate with Revenue Management, Pricing, Operations, and Commercial teams to optimize schedules for revenue and passenger demand.
Monitor schedule performance and adjust plans to improve load factors and efficiency.
Fleet & Capacity Planning
Coordinate with Fleet Planning and Operations to ensure aircraft availability aligns with scheduled services.
Optimize aircraft utilization and rotation to support operational and commercial objectives.
Analyze capacity deployment and recommend adjustments based on demand and route performance.
Data Analysis & Reporting
Monitor network performance metrics including load factors, revenue, RASK, and on-time performance.
Prepare reports and presentations for the Head of Network Planning,
Commercial teams, and management.
Provide insights to support strategic decision-making on route additions, frequency changes, and schedule optimization.
Regulatory & Stakeholder Management
Ensure compliance with slot coordination, bilateral agreements, and airport regulations.
Liaise with regulatory authorities, airport operators, and external stakeholders regarding slots and scheduling.
Support internal coordination with Operations Control, Commercial, Revenue Management, and Sales teams.
Team Leadership & Development
Manage and mentor Network Planning & Scheduling Analysts or associates.
Allocate responsibilities, review work, and ensure quality and timeliness of schedule plans and analyses.
Develop team capabilities in network analysis, scheduling, and commercial planning.
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS
Bachelor's degree in Aviation Management, Business, Economics, or related field.
5—8 years' experience in airline network planning, scheduling, commercial planning, or operations.
Strong knowledge of airline network planning principles, scheduling software, and revenue management.
Experience with fleet planning, slot coordination, and route feasibility analysis.
Advanced proficiency in Excel and data analysis tools; familiarity with scheduling software preferred.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Commercial awareness and understanding of airline network economics.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Attention to detail and high accuracy in planning and reporting.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure.
Leadership and team management capability.
Strategic thinking and scenario planning expertise.
KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS
Schedule accuracy and on-time performance - maintain On-Time Performance (OTP) 2 85% monthly for network departures by ensuring robust schedule planning and disruption mitigation.
Network profitability and route performance metrics - deliver monthly route performance analysis with 100% on-time submission and recommended optimization actions.
Aircraft utilization and operational efficiency - maintain an average aircraft utilization of 8.0—9.5 block hours per day across the fleet by year-end.
