Qualifications & Requirements

Applicants must meet the following requirements:


Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing from a recognized institution
Valid Nursing Council of Kenya (NCK) practicing license
Minimum of two (2) years' relevant clinical experience
Demonstrated hands-on experience and strong competency in:
Ability to competently manage patients in both outpatient and inpatient settings
Strong clinical assessment, patient monitoring, and emergency response skills
Good understanding of infection prevention and control protocols
Experience using hospital management systems and proper clinical documentation practices will be an added advantage
Experience working in a busy private Level 4 hospital setup will be highly desirable
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills
Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced clinical environment
High level of professionalism, integrity, accountability, and compassion toward patients


Key Responsibilities

The successful candidates will be expected to:


Provide safe, high-quality, and patient-centered nursing care in accordance with hospital policies and professional standards
Participate actively in patient assessment, treatment planning, monitoring, and follow-up care
Support maternity, MCH, theatre, and other specialized clinical services as assigned
Prepare and assist during theatre procedures while ensuring adherence to sterile techniques and theatre protocols
Monitor patient progress, identify changes in condition, and escalate appropriately where necessary
Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential patient records and nursing documentation
Administer medications and treatments safely as prescribed
Ensure strict adherence to infection prevention, patient safety, and quality assurance standards
Educate patients and relatives on treatment plans, medication use, and preventive healthcare practices
Collaborate effectively with doctors, clinicians, laboratory staff, and other multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Participate in departmental meetings, continuous medical education (CMEs), and quality improvement initiatives
