The Payroll Tax Associate is a specialized compliance role within the PEO (Professional Employer Organization) industry. You will be responsible for the research, filing, and reconciliation of federal and state payroll taxes in the U.S., ensuring technical accuracy and strict compliance with local, state, and federal authorities.
Main Responsibilities
Tax Research and Compliance: Analyze legal issues and filing requirements to ensure full compliance.
Payment Processing: Execute payroll tax payments and refunds using efiles, batch agent files, and EFT.
Filing: Prepare and file monthly, quarterly, and annual payroll tax returns.
Auditing and Verification: Support corporate payment audits and verify data accuracy.
Notice Resolution: Analyze and resolve tax notices and discrepancies, maintaining timely updates.
Customer Support: Provide expert assistance with complex payroll tax inquiries.
Requirements
Minimum 1 year of experience in Payroll or Tax.
Englis Level B2+,C1
Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Excel.
Technical Skills: Must have excellent attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a fastpaced environment with strict legal deadlines.
