Role Description


This is a full-time(working for 18-19 days a month)on-site role for a Pharmacist based in Lagos. The Pharmacist will be responsible for ensuring the safe and accurate dispensing of medications, maintaining and managing medication inventory, and providing expert advice to both patients and healthcare providers on drug usage. Additional responsibilities include verifying prescriptions, monitoring potential drug interactions, and educating patients about medication regimens. The Pharmacist will also collaborate with medical staff to optimize therapeutic outcomes and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.


Qualifications


Comprehensive knowledge of pharmacy operations, including dispensing medications, inventory management, and regulatory compliance.
Strong skills in patient counseling and education, with the ability to clearly explain medication usage, side effects, and potential interactions.
Attention to detail, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills, especially when verifying prescriptions or identifying potential drug interactions.
Excellent collaboration and communication skills to work effectively with medical teams and provide guidance on pharmaceutical solutions.
Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy (B.Pharm) and a valid pharmacy license are required.
Proficiency in up-to-date pharmaceutical practices and familiarity with health and safety guidelines within a hospital setting.
Previous experience in a hospital pharmacy setting is an advantage.
Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage stock levels and ensure timely restocking when needed.
