Job Summary
The Pharmacy Assistant supports the pharmacist in product handling, stock management, and customer support within the pharmacy and works strictly under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
Key Responsibilities
Pharmacy Operations Support:
Assist the pharmacist in organizing and preparing medications (non-dispensing).
Receive and arrange pharmaceutical products on shelves.
Ensure medications and health products are properly labeled and stored.
Assist to pick up products when necessary.
Inventory Management:
Monitor stock levels and report low or expired items.
Check expiry dates regularly and remove expired products.
Assist with stock counts and inventory records.
Assist in entering products in system when they arrive.
Customer Support:
Guide customers to appropriate products as directed by the pharmacist.
Refer all medical advice and prescription - related questions to the pharmacist.
Provide basic product information for non-prescription items only.
Compliance & Safety:
Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of pharmacy shelves and work areas.
Follow regulatory and safety guidelines governing pharmacy operations.
Maintain confidentiality of patient and prescription information.
Qualifications & Skills
Minimum of OND certificate.
At least 2 years pharmacy experience.
Good communication skills
Good organizational skills.
Ability to follow instructions and work under supervision.
Proximity to Ogba, Agege, and Ikeja environs is key.
Attention to detail and respect for safety procedures.
