Clinix Healthcare is seeking a physically fit, responsible, and hardworking Porter to join our support team at the Igando branch. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in ensuring smooth operations by assisting with the movement of patients, equipment, and materials within the facility.
Responsibilities
Transport patients safely between departments (e.g., from reception to consulting rooms, laboratory, radiology, wards, or pharmacy).
Move medical equipment, supplies, laboratory samples, and other materials as required.
Assist in transferring patients to and from wheelchairs, stretchers, or beds.
Support the cleaning team by disposing of waste (including biohazardous waste) according to safety protocols.
Deliver documents, reports, and test results between departments promptly.
Ensure corridors, entrances, and workspaces remain clear and unobstructed.
Provide basic assistance to patients and visitors when needed.
Maintain hygiene and cleanliness of wheelchairs, stretchers, and trolleys.
Perform any other support duties as assigned by supervisors.
Requirements & Skills
Physically fit and able to stand and move for long hours.
Responsible, punctual, and respectful attitude.
Good communication skills and ability to interact politely with patients and staff.
Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
Awareness of basic infection control and patient safety practices.
Honesty and high level of integrity.
Qualifications
Minimum of SSCE / WAEC / NECO or equivalent.
Previous experience as a Porter, Ward Assistant, or in a similar support role in a hospital is an advantage.
Valid means of identification.
