The Pre-Sales Lead will lead and coordinate all pre-sales activities across the business by ensuring timely, compliant Public Sector tender submissions, managing Zoho CRM to drive follow-up of marketing leads and pipeline conversion, and supporting the Sales Manager across Mechanical, Instrumentation, Civil and Electrical divisions.
Manage and Improve Lead Follow-up in Zoho CRM:
Oversee the timely and effective follow-up of marketing-generated leads within the Zoho CRM platform.
Ensure that all leads are accurately captured, categorized, assigned, and monitored through the sales funnel.
Optimize CRM workflows and reporting dashboards to improve visibility and decision-making.
Track and Report Sales Pipeline Across Business Units:
Monitor the progress of sales opportunities across Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, and Civil units.
Maintain an updated sales pipeline dashboard for internal use and strategic reviews.
Prepare and present regular reports on sales pipeline health, key opportunities, and forecasted revenue.
Submit Complete and Compliant Government Tenders:
Ensure all tender submissions meet the mandatory compliance, technical, and administrative requirements.
Coordinate end-to-end preparation and submission of government bids in line with procurement laws and client instructions.
Maintain a checklist system to verify completeness and accuracy before final submission.
Build and Maintain a Pre-Sales Resource Library:
Develop and continuously update a structured repository of pre-sales materials, including company profiles, CVs of key staff, registration certificates, project references, licenses, and proposal templates.
Ensure quick and easy access to reusable content for tender and proposal preparation.
Increase Tender Win Rate Through Better Targeting and Preparation:
Support opportunity qualification and bid/no-bid decision-making to focus efforts on high-potential tenders.
Analyze past bid outcomes to improve targeting, pricing strategies, and technical responses.
Maintain a database of competitor trends and market intelligence to inform bid strategy.
Coordinate Tender Preparation Across Departments:
Serve as the central coordinator between Business Development, Engineering, QS, and Procurement teams to gather required inputs for tender documentation.
Create and manage preparation timelines to ensure timely delivery of each section of the bid.
Facilitate regular check-ins to monitor progress and resolve blockers early.
Improve Internal Response Time for Tender Inputs
Standardize request formats and timelines to streamline internal input collection.
Develop internal SLAs for common submission components and track adherence.
Identify recurring delays or bottlenecks and recommend solutions to improve departmental responsiveness.
Qualifications
Qualifications and Experience Requirements
Minimum or four (4) years in pre-sales, bid coordination, or proposal development in engineering or construction
Experience with government tendering (public procurement rules, technical evaluations)
Strong command of Zoho CRM (lead tracking, reports, automations)
Familiarity with Mechanical, Instrumentation, and Electrical projects
Excellent writing and document control skills
