Job Summary
The role holder actively manages and executes implementation tasks for Digital Channels within Core Banking-Digital Channels. Responsible for ensuring that all digital channel transactions are processed and settled accurately and in a timely manner, the specialist resolves customer issues while maintaining strict compliance with regulatory frameworks, policies, and operational procedures.
Key Responsibilities
Environment Management: Install, configure, upgrade, and tune digital channels application environments to ensure optimal performance and system reliability.
System Integration & Development: Oversee development and integration efforts between digital channels, Enterprise Service Bus (ESB), payment gateways (SWIFT, RTGS, M-PESA), and third-party systems.
Security & Administration: Implement and maintain robust application security and administrative controls across all digital platforms.
Vendor Support & Reporting: Interface directly with Temenos Corporation for technical support, coordinate Business/MIS report extractions, and distribute data to business units and data warehouses.
Documentation & Compliance: Ensure all system changes, workflows, and configurations are thoroughly documented to a professional standard and aligned with regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Business, or a related field.
Added advantage: Formal training in Internet Banking, Core Banking Platforms, Payment Systems, or Artificial Intelligence.
Experience & Technical Competencies
Minimum of 6 years of work experience within the financial sector, focusing on digital channels, payment systems, product development, and service excellence.
Sound knowledge of the Banking Act and regulatory frameworks governing the financial services industry.
Strong technical understanding of containerization and microservices technologies, including Red Hat OpenShift, Kubernetes, microservices, web services, and SWIFT/RTGS payment system protocols.
