Key Responsibilities
Strategic Network & Connectivity Leadership: Direct the design, implementation, lifecycle management, and resilience of enterprise networks across HQ, DR sites, and branches, ensuring redundancy for mission-critical core banking systems.
Data Centre Operations & Facilities: Oversee Data Centre facility design, scalability, and 100% availability; manage critical environmental and power systems (generators, UPS, HVAC, fire suppression) in coordination with Facilities; and enforce health, safety, and access compliance.
Infrastructure Transformation & Projects: Lead large-scale enterprise infrastructure transformations, including data centre refreshes, WAN optimization, cloud integration, and emerging technology adoption.
Security, Risk & Governance: Partner with cybersecurity teams to govern network security architecture, enforce DR/BCP readiness, ensure regulatory compliance, and support internal/external audit remediations.
Vendor & Team Management: Lead and mentor multi-disciplinary teams, establish performance goals, and manage OEM/vendor relationships, contracts, and SLAs to guarantee service accountability.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Telecommunications, or a closely related field.
Mandatory Professional Certifications: Advanced networking (Cisco CCNP/CCIE or equivalent), next-generation firewall/security technologies (Cisco, Fortinet, Check Point, Palo Alto), PKI/Identity Management, Application Delivery/Load Balancing, Virtualization/Storage, and Disaster Recovery/BCM (ISO 27031, ISO 22301).
Added Advantages: Certifications in ITIL/ISO 20000, Data Centre management/design (e.g., CDCP/CDCS), executive leadership, and operational experience supporting high-availability financial/payment platforms.
Experience & Technical Competencies
Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in enterprise IT infrastructure and network management within a large-scale regulated financial institution or mission-critical environment, including at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
Extensive hands-on and management background in 24×7 Data Centre and network operations (LAN/WAN/MPLS/SD-WAN, BGP, security, load balancing, storage, and virtualization).
Transformation Track Record: Verifiable leadership of at least two major enterprise-scale transformation programmes (one Data Centre transformation and one enterprise network transformation covering design, procurement, implementation, commissioning, and operational transition).
Demonstrated expertise in major-incident leadership, capacity planning, OEM/SLA governance, and audit compliance.
