About the Role

Our client, a leading organization within the engineering and project services space, is seeking a highly experienced Procurement Manager to drive strategic sourcing, vendor management, and cost optimization initiatives across its operations.

Job Summary

The Procurement Manager will be responsible for leading the organization's procurement strategy, managing vendor relationships, optimizing cost efficiency, and ensuring timely sourcing of materials and services in line with project and operational needs.

Key Responsibilities


Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with business objectives
Manage end-to-end procurement processes including sourcing, negotiation, and contract management
Identify, evaluate, and onboard reliable vendors and suppliers
Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts to achieve cost savings and value optimization
Ensure timely procurement of materials, equipment, and services for projects
Monitor supplier performance and ensure compliance with agreed SLAs
Collaborate with internal stakeholders (engineering, finance, operations) to understand procurement needs
Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory standards
Manage procurement budgets and track cost-saving initiatives
Lead and develop the procurement team for high performance


Requirements


Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Business Administration, or related field
Minimum of 7 - 10 years' experience in procurement, preferably within engineering, oil & gas, or project-based environments
Strong negotiation and vendor management skills
Proven experience in strategic sourcing and cost optimization
Good understanding of contract management and procurement best practices
Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Office tools
Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills


Preferred Qualifications


Professional certification (CIPS, CIPSMN, or equivalent) is an added advantage
Experience working in EPC, energy, or infrastructure sectors
Technical Requirements
Ability to interpret technical specifications, drawings, datasheets, and scope of work documents.
Ability to coordinate technical bid evaluations with Engineering and user departments.
Ability to manage commercial bid evaluations, pricing analysis, and negotiation strategy.
Experience in administering subcontracts covering supply, fabrication, construction, installation, maintenance, and specialist services.
Ability to manage change orders, claims, back charges, and subcontractor performance issues.
Experience in supplier and subcontractor prequalification, due diligence, performance monitoring, and relationship management.
Ability to interface effectively with Engineering, Projects, QA/QC, Legal, Finance, Logistics, and Operations.
Proficiency in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central for procurement planning, vendor management, purchase order administration, tracking, and reporting.
Strong reporting capability in Excel, including spend analysis, procurement dashboards, and KPI tracking.
Good understanding of market intelligence, negotiation strategy, and supplier relationship management.
Experience in technical procurement, including vendor document review, QA/QC coordination, inspection, expediting, logistics interface management, and subcontractor
performance oversight on live projects.
