Job Description

Iqbusiness is looking for highly skilled Product Designers to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate brings 4 - 8 years of product design experience, a strong foundation in user‑centred design and design thinking, and the ability to operate confidently within fast‑moving, collaborative environments.
This role is suited to designers who can balance strategic thinking with hands‑on delivery, and who are comfortable engaging stakeholders while working closely with product and engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities

Product & Experience Design

Design and deliver high‑quality, user‑centred digital product experiences across web and mobile platforms.
Apply strong UX/UI principles to create intuitive, accessible, and visually engaging interfaces.
Translate complex business and user needs into clear, effective design solutions across the end‑to‑end user journey.

Research, Journey Mapping & Design Thinking

Plan and conduct user research activities, including discovery, validation, and usability testing.
Create and maintain user journey maps, service journeys, and experience maps to understand end‑to‑end user interactions, pain points, and opportunities.
Use journey mapping and research insights to inform design decisions, prioritisation, and experience improvements.
Apply design thinking methodologies to frame problems, explore solutions, and iterate based on user and business feedback.

Collaboration & Delivery

Work closely with product managers, developers, and cross‑functional teams throughout the delivery lifecycle.
Partner with development teams to support accurate, high‑quality implementation of design solutions.
Confidently engage stakeholders to gather requirements, facilitate design workshops (including journey mapping sessions), and present design concepts and outcomes.

Professional Practice

Demonstrate curiosity and continuous learning, staying engaged with evolving design practices, tools, and trends.
Quickly understand technical concepts and terminology to enable effective collaboration with engineering teams.
Adapt design approaches to suit different client contexts, constraints, and delivery models common to consulting environments.

Requirements

Essential

A professional portfolio showcasing recent and relevant product design work, including examples of journey mapping and end‑to‑end experience design.
4 - 8+ years' experience in product design, UX/UI design, or a related discipline.
Strong grounding in user‑centred design principles, interaction design, visual design, and design thinking.
Proficiency in design tools such as Figma and/or Sketch.
Proven experience collaborating within cross‑functional and, where applicable, internationally distributed teams.
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

Advantageous

Experience designing products within regulated or complex environments (e.g. payments or financial services).
Experience designing and facilitating journey mapping workshops with business and technical stakeholders.
Exposure to mobile‑first and responsive design across multiple platforms.
Experience working within Agile or fast‑paced delivery environments.
Familiarity with modern design trends, design systems, and emerging tools or technologies.

Qualifications

National Senior Certificate (or equivalent) from an accredited institution.
Diploma or degree in Design, Human‑Computer Interaction, Visual Communication, or a related field.
