The job holder will manage and develop the heavy equipment product portfolio in the Kenyan market by aligning product strategy, specifications, pricing, and lifecycle management with local customer needs and market conditions.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute product strategies for construction and mining equipment, tailored to Kenyan operating conditions.
Conduct market and competitor analysis to identify trends, feature gaps, and opportunities.
Capture customer insights and support key engagements, including technical presentations, demos, and tender support.
Train and enable sales teams and dealers on product features, applications, and competitive positioning.
Formulate pricing strategies considering cost structures, competition, duties, and logistics.
Partner with service, parts, and operations teams to ensure product reliability, aftersales excellence, and continuous improvement.
Key Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Automotive Engineering, or a related discipline.
Proven experience in heavy equipment product management, application engineering, or technical sales support.
Strong understanding of construction and earth-moving equipment applications, including the Kenyan construction, mining, and infrastructure sectors.
Experience in field operations and customer-facing technical roles, with the ability to translate technical features into customer value.
Solid grasp of product lifecycle management, technical specifications, tender compliance, and awareness of competitor offerings.
Excellent presentation, training, cross-functional collaboration, and stakeholder engagement skills, with flexibility to travel across Kenya.
