Description
The Production & Studio Manager's primary responsibility is to provide strategic leadership for Content Production, governing the end-to-end lifecycle of high-volume creative assets by managing internal studio operations and external production partnerships. This role leads the team that plans, executes, and delivers high-quality content while a key focus remains on driving commercial efficiency through cost analysis, stakeholder management, and full ownership of the operational budget.
Requirements
Strategic Content Leadership: Provide strategic direction for all content production, managing the end-to-end lifecycle of high-volume creative assets.
Studio and Resource Management: Oversee all internal studio equipment and resources (Photographers, DTP Operators), ensuring the studio is adequately resourced and running efficiently.
Commercial Efficiency: Drive commercial value by rigorously analysing production costs against output, constantly seeking to reduce external spend and enhance process efficiency.
Project & Workflow Governance: Develop and maintain the master studio production calendar, manage critical paths, translate marketing objectives into clear briefs, and proactively identify/resolve workflow bottlenecks.
Stakeholder Management: Act as the primary operational contact between creative teams, production studios, and core business units (Buying, Planning, eCommerce), managing complex relationships and 3rd-party supplier contracts.
Team Leadership: Lead, coach, and manage the team, fostering a high-performance culture and ensuring alignment with the overall marketing strategy.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Competencies
A Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Media Production, Project Management, or a related field
5-7 years of experience in Studio Management, Program/Traffic Management, or as an Integrated Producer within a high-volume retail, creative, or agency environment.
Technical Proficiency: Advanced knowledge of Google Suite and workflow/project management software (e.g., Trello, Asana, WorkBook).
Familiarity with PIM (Product Information Management) and DAM (Digital Asset Management) systems
Solid understanding of Digital Marketing Production and delivery
Ability to identify issues and resolve those quickly
Meticulous attention to detail is required
Ability to manage tasks correctly
Solid relationship management skills with the ability to integrate cross functionally
Proactive and self-motivated person
Strong customer and stakeholder management skills UJ
