A leading organisation is seeking an experienced Team Leader to oversee production operations and lead a high-performing team within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
This role is ideal for a hands-on leader who can drive productivity, ensure quality standards, and manage teams effectively while maintaining operational efficiency.


The Role


You will be responsible for leading a production team, ensuring output targets are met while maintaining high standards of quality, efficiency, and compliance.


Key responsibilities include:

Leadership & People Management


Leading and supervising production staff, including operators and support teams
Driving a positive, productive, and performance-focused team culture
Providing coaching, mentoring, and ongoing development support
Managing HR-related matters such as leave planning, queries, and basic IR issues
Handling conflict resolution and promoting strong team engagement


Production & Productivity


Supporting production planning, scheduling, and resource allocation
Ensuring daily production targets and deadlines are achieved
Monitoring workflows to maximise efficiency and minimise downtime
Identifying bottlenecks and implementing process improvements
Analysing production data to drive performance improvements


Quality Control & Continuous Improvement


Ensuring adherence to quality standards and specifications
Conducting regular quality checks and inspections
Collaborating with technical teams to resolve quality issues
Driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and reduce waste
Implementing and maintaining quality control processes


Reporting & Performance Management


Tracking and reporting on key performance indicators (KPIs)
Maintaining accurate production and performance records
Providing regular updates to management on team and operational performance
Supporting data-driven decision-making through reporting and analysis


Customer & Operational Alignment


Ensuring production outputs meet internal customer expectations
Collaborating with other departments to align production schedules
Communicating effectively across teams to ensure smooth workflow
Proactively addressing issues that may impact delivery timelines


Compliance & Housekeeping


Ensuring compliance with safety regulations, policies, and procedures
Maintaining high standards of housekeeping (5S) within the production area
Reporting machinery issues and coordinating with maintenance teams
Ensuring proper use, storage, and handling of equipment and materials


WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Key requirements:


National Diploma or Degree in Operations or Production Management (or equivalent)
Leadership or supervisory training (essential)
3 - 5 years' experience in a production or manufacturing environment
Proven experience leading and managing teams
Strong understanding of production planning, quality control, and productivity principles
Proficiency in MS Office
