PURPOSE OF POSITION
To deliver safe and effective Emergency Nursing Care as a SANC (South African Nursing Council) Registered Professional Nurse, ensuring effective patient assessment, planning and coordination of patient care. Maintain compliance with legal and clinical standards within the multidisciplinary team.
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS
Work strictly within the SANC defined Scope of Practice.
Must be compliant with hospital policies and regulations.
Coordinate patient care within the multidisciplinary team and act as a patient advocate.
Adhere to legal, health, safety, infection control and clinical standards.
Participate in quality improvement, risk management, and resource management.
Provide supervision, guidance and support to staff within the unit.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
(Educational Qualifications & Experience)
Registered with South African Nursing Council (SANC) as a Registered Nurse.
Minimum 1-2 years clinical experience in a hospital setting.
Competence in patient assessment, clinical decision making and emergency intervention.
Ability to work effectively within a team in a fast-paced environment.
Willingness to work day and night shifts, including weekends and public holidays and adapt to working in other areas of the hospital when needed.
