Your responsibilities
Support high-quality delivery of knowledge products
Collate primary and secondary data to inform production of training materials for Farmer Field Schools and other field activities (technical packages) - including through limited fieldwork in Somaliland if required.
Produce quality text and images for training materials.
Lead and/or support validation exercises as required.
Contribute to Resilience Working Group management and production of learning events
Support logistics for Resilience Working Group events online and in-person.
Produce high quality minutes in working group meetings.
Support Resilience Technical Lead in following up working group actions.
Participate in, and present to, working group learning events and related meetings.
Support project coordination and delivery
Support the Head of Project and MEAL team in finalizing interim project reports and routine monitoring exercises.
Attend and actively contribute to regular project coordination meetings.
Support business development
Make contributions to funding proposals as required.
Participate in programme team meetings as required.
Support administration, logistics and procurement at Country Office level.
Provide occasional support to administration and logistics in the Somalia (Nairobi) office.
Present to SMT meetings occasionally as required.
Fulfillment of any other reasonable tasks assigned by management which correspond in general with the character of the position.
Your profile
Knowledge and qualifications
Undergraduate degree in a field relevant to rural development from a recognized institution.
Minimum 3 years of progressive experience in project cycle management, knowledge management, coordination or similar for a national or international NGO.
Professional experience in Somalia a strong advantage.
Demonstrable experience of research and technical report writing in English.
Proven in-depth knowledge of gender and inclusion in the Somali context.
