Our client is seeking a highly analytical and commercially minded Project Manager to drive the execution of strategic initiatives within their growing commercial and light industrial business.
This role is responsible for the daily, medium-, and long-term planning, direction, and performance of a team of five employees supporting the sales function. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in translating business strategy into measurable projects, improving operational efficiencies, and ensuring the successful delivery of key commercial objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead, mentor, and develop a team of five employees, ensuring high performance and accountability.
Plan, coordinate, and manage projects from initiation through to completion, ensuring objectives, timelines, and deliverables are achieved.
Analyse business and sales data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
Develop meaningful reports and dashboards that support strategic decision-making.
Translate business strategy into practical, measurable workstreams with clear ownership and deliverables.
Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement corrective actions where required.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and successful project execution.
Track project outcomes, evaluate effectiveness, and ensure continuous improvement by closing the project lifecycle.
Drive commercial improvements through data-driven decision-making and process optimisation.
Build strong working relationships with stakeholders across all levels of the organisation.
Requirements
Minimum Requirements (Non-Negotiable)
The ideal candidate must be able to demonstrate practical experience in the following
Proven experience in project management, successfully managing projects from planning through implementation and completion.
Advanced data analysis and reporting skills, including extensive experience working with ERP systems and advanced Microsoft Excel.
Strong analytical ability with the capability to convert complex data into actionable commercial insights and measurable improvement initiatives.
Demonstrated ability to translate strategic business objectives into structured, people-focused workstreams with measurable outcomes.
Proven leadership and people management experience, including managing direct reports and influencing stakeholders across multiple departments and seniority levels.
Strong commercial acumen with the ability to identify opportunities that drive business performance and profitability.
Excellent organisational, planning, and problem-solving skills.
Exceptional communication and stakeholder management abilities.
Relevant tertiary qualification.

Anticipated basic salary R40 - R45k per month, candidate dependent
