Role responsibilities:
Sales and Business Development
Identify and pursue project-based sales opportunities across Kenya.
Build and maintain relationships with top contractors, consultants, and developers.
Drive specification of admixtures in tender documents and project designs.
Conduct technical presentations and product demonstrations to project stakeholders.
Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and upcoming projects.
Provide insights to support pricing, product positioning, and promotional strategies.
Develop and execute a country-specific project sales strategy aligned with regional goals.
Closely work with Corporate, Regional and local R&D functions to introduce cost-effective products suitable for local needs.
Closely work with other business units in the company to take advantage of cross selling opportunities.
Deliver / exceed financial targets while maintaining the competitive position in the relevant markets.
Develop and implement an annual marketing plan that is aligned with the Group Strategic Goals specifically in terms of growth and market share.
Perform any other duties assigned by immediate superior or General Manager.
Customer Support and Technical Service
Provide on-site support during trials and initial applications.
Work with the technical team to resolve customer issues and ensure product performance.
Train contractors and site engineers on admixture usage and benefits.
Reporting and Performance Monitoring
Maintain CRM records of leads, opportunities, and customer interactions.
Prepare monthly sales reports and forecasts.
Track KPIs including revenue growth, project wins, and customer engagement.
Achievement of sales targets.
Adherence to Company reporting procedure/commercial admin systems, offering appropriate feedback and information.
All such duties and/or activities assigned by management/board as and when required.
Minimum requirements:
At least 5 years' experience in construction materials sales preferably concrete or cement
Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, construction management, or related field
Proven track record of project-based sales success
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
Demonstrable sound business judgement, strategic thinking and execution
Strong network within the Kenyan construction industry
Able to work under pressure and promote good teamwork with other colleagues and regional members
Able to work independently
Commercially aware
Computer literate and numerate
Negotiation and sales skills
Ability to follow up projects from conception to implementation
Working experience in a multinational environment will be preferred
