Role Purpose

The Publication Designer delivers high-quality, creative publication design and graphic design work to our clients through strong visual execution, attention to detail, and speed of delivery.

Key Responsibilities


Collaborate with our dynamic team to ensure design consistency, creative excellence, and brand alignment across all deliverables.
Develop compelling designs and visual content for print and digital media, applying graphic design fundamentals and publication layout skills where required.
Design and adapt annual reports, brochures, newsletters, company profiles, pitch documents, magazines, proposals, case studies, and other long-form materials during publication cycles, while supporting general graphic design work when publications are off-cycle.
Prepare accurate final artwork for print and digital publishing, including pagination, margins, bleeds, image resolution, colour settings, packaging, and version control.
Stay abreast of current industry standards, emerging technologies, publication design trends, social media trends, and market dynamics.


Skills & Competencies


Strong conceptual thinking, publication layout judgement, typography skills, artistic skills, and overall design skills.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to interpret briefs, ask the right clarification questions, and explain design rationale clearly.
Strong initiative and teamwork, including close collaboration with creatives, account teams, copywriters, strategists, and production partners.
Strong eye for layout consistency, spelling/formatting alignment, pagination, spacing, image quality, and final artwork accuracy.
Trustworthy and consistent in delivering quality work within agreed timelines and review cycles.
Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop; working knowledge of print-ready and digital publishing file requirements.
Willingness to work smart and put in the extra hours when needed, especially around major publication deadlines.
Self-driven with a knack for bringing fresh design ideas, layout improvements, and production efficiencies to the table.
Maintains composure and performance under pressure, especially where publication deadlines and multiple revision cycles are involved.
Welcomes constructive criticism and adapts quickly to internal, client, and proofing feedback.
