The QA Auditor / Inspector is responsible for enforcing the Contractor's Quality Management System (QMS) to ensure compliance with contractual specifications, policies, and procedures. This position is critical for maintaining quality standards, inspecting performance, and identifying areas for improvement. Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Quality Assurance Oversight:
Enforcing the Contractor's QMS on all facets of the project to ensure compliance with contract requirements and industry standards.
Conducting quality audits, inspections, and reviews during daily operations to evaluate the quality of work performed.
Monitoring and documenting all work activities during the Government's regular working hours to ensure compliance with contractual requirements.
Coordinating directly with the Quality Manager and ensuring independence from the Project Manager for reporting and oversight duties.
Inspection and Documentation:
Performing inspections of completed and ongoing work to confirm that it meets all specifications, technical requirements, and quality standards.
Ensuring the personnel carrying out inspections have the technical expertise and knowledge required for the work being inspected.
Maintaining detailed and accurate records of inspections, audits, and findings, and preparing reports for submission to the Quality Manager.
Compliance and Training:
Ensuring compliance with documented quality processes, safety protocols, and relevant regulations.
Collaborating with personnel to identify and address nonconformities, develop corrective actions, and prevent recurrence of quality issues.
Participating in training and development initiatives to keep up-to-date with industry best practices, technical methods, and QMS compliance standards.
Minimum Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical or QA-related certifications are an advantage.
At least three (3) years of experience in enforcing Quality Management Systems (QMS) in environments similar to the scope and size of the project.
Demonstrated qualifications, technical knowledge, and experience requirements equal to or exceeding those of the personnel performing the work being inspected.
In-depth knowledge of quality assurance/inspection processes and compliance systems.
Excellent organizational skills to maintain accurate and detailed records of inspections and quality audits.
Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with teams, prepare detailed reports, and present findings.
Ability to successfully pass contract medical requirements and maintain compliance for the duration of deployment.
