Job Summary
The Quality Control Engineer - MEP will be responsible for ensuring that all Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) works are executed in strict compliance with approved drawings, project specifications, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
This role is strictly focused on MEP systems and requires strong hands-on site experience in installation, inspection, testing, and commissioning.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct quality inspections on HVAC, electrical systems, plumbing, and fire protection installations
Ensure all works comply with approved shop drawings, specifications, and method statements
Review and verify material submittals against technical requirements
Raise Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and follow through on corrective actions
Monitor testing and commissioning processes for all MEP systems
Maintain accurate quality control documentation and inspection records
Liaise with consultants, subcontractors, and site engineers on quality-related issues
Support project handover processes, including snag list identification and resolution.
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline
Minimum of 5 years' proven experience in MEP construction projects
Strong technical knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection systems
Ability to read and interpret MEP drawings and technical specifications
Solid understanding of inspection processes and quality documentation procedures
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
