Job Summary


We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Quality & HSE Officer to ensure compliance with quality standards, health, safety, and environmental regulations within the organization.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for monitoring product quality, implementing HSE policies, conducting inspections, and promoting a safe working environment.


Key Responsibilities
Quality Management:


Conduct routine quality inspections of raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished products.
Monitor production processes to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications.
Investigate quality issues and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
Maintain quality records, inspection reports, and documentation.
Assist in implementing and maintaining quality management systems.


Health, Safety & Environment (HSE)


Implement and monitor HSE policies, procedures, and compliance requirements.
Conduct regular workplace safety inspections and risk assessments.
Identify hazards and recommend corrective actions to prevent accidents and incidents.
Ensure employees comply with safety regulations and the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
Conduct HSE induction and awareness training for employees.
Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses and prepare reports.
Monitor environmental compliance and waste management practices.


Reporting & Compliance:


Prepare quality and HSE reports for management review.
Maintain accurate records of inspections, incidents, audits, and corrective actions.
Support internal and external audits as required.
Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant regulatory requirements.


Requirements


HND/B.Sc. Degree in Engineering, Industrial Chemistry, Environmental Science, Quality Management, or a related field.
2 - 4 years of experience in Quality Control, Quality Assurance, HSE, or a similar role.
Experience in a manufacturing environment is an added advantage.
Good knowledge of quality systems, workplace safety practices, and regulatory requirements.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
Strong analytical, reporting, and problem-solving skills.


Preferred Certifications:


HSE Level 1, 2 & 3
NEBOSH (added advantage)
ISO 9001 Internal Auditor Certification (added advantage)
ISO 45001 Knowledge or Certification (added advantage)
