About the Role
We are seeking a Quantity Surveyor with strong Project Management expertise to join a dynamic construction team delivering innovative, sustainable, and cost-effective modular and container-based building projects.
This role is ideal for a professional who combines solid cost control, contract administration, and site supervision skills, and can successfully manage projects from planning through delivery while ensuring quality, budget, and timeline expectations are met.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare cost estimates, budgets, and feasibility studies for modular and container-based construction projects.
Manage project costs, including material procurement, valuations, and subcontractor payments.
Carry out site measurements and prepare interim and final accounts.
Ensure cost efficiency while maintaining agreed quality standards.
Prepare tender and contract documents, including Bills of Quantities (BOQs).
Negotiate, administer, and manage contracts with vendors and subcontractors.
Plan, coordinate, and supervise construction activities to ensure timely project delivery.
Oversee site operations to ensure compliance with project specifications, safety regulations, and quality standards.
Manage project schedules, resources, and stakeholder communication.
Identify project risks and implement effective mitigation strategies.
Coordinate effectively with engineers, architects, suppliers, and contractors.
Monitor project progress, prepare reports, and resolve issues as they arise.
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
3 - 5 years of combined experience in quantity surveying and project management, preferably within modular or container-based construction.
Strong understanding of construction materials, procurement processes, and contract administration.
Proficiency in cost estimation and project scheduling tools such as AutoCAD, MS Project, Primavera, or similar software.
Good knowledge of Nigerian building regulations, construction laws, and health & safety standards.
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Strong analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
Membership with NIQS or a relevant professional body is an added advantage.
