Job Summary
We're seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our team at Casalavoro Limited.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and controlling project costs, ensuring that our projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
This role involves preparing detailed cost estimates, managing contracts, and ensuring compliance with project specifications.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare cost estimates for projects, considering labour, materials, and overhead costs, by reviewing project preamble, scope of work, drawings, and specifications.
Liaise with the site construction team to finalize and certify actual physical work done, facilitating subcontractor payments and ensuring compliance with contracts.
Identify potential financial risks and develop strategies to mitigate them, ensuring project delivery within budget and timeline.
Assess project designs for cost-effectiveness, proposing alternative solutions that maintain quality while optimizing costs.
Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, ensure adherence to contracts, and track material usage.
Manage payments to subcontractors, monitoring budget quantities and actual progress.
Prepare and evaluate tender documents, negotiate with contractors, and select suitable bids.
Evaluate material specifications and prices from suppliers, ensuring compliance with project specifications.
Monitor projects for budgeted cost, demand forecasts, and time overruns, ensuring timely execution.
Negotiate pricing contracts with subcontractors and suppliers.Preparesubcontractors' valuation and Bill of Quantities.`
Develop and implement new procurement strategies to deliver cost reductions and process simplification.
Manage store keepers, overseeing the receipt, storage, and issuance of materials on site.
Job Requirements
B.Sc / HND in Quantity Surveying.
Must be a Registered Quantity Surveyor
3 to 5years of work experience (Supervisor Experienceis an added advantage)
Experience in Procurement.
Sound knowledge of construction.
