Operate Radiographic Equipment (X-ray, CT, MRI, Fluoroscopy)

Select correct imaging parameters based on examination type.
Adjust exposure settings to ensure image clarity while minimizing radiation dose.
Operate digital imaging systems and PACS (Picture Archiving and Communication System).
Monitor the patient during scanning procedures.
Ensure proper calibration of machines before use.

Ensure Radiation Safety and Protection

Apply ALARA principle (As Low As Reasonably Achievable).
Use protective gear (lead aprons, thyroid shields, gonadal shields).
Monitor personal radiation exposure using dosimeters.
Protect patients, colleagues, and self from unnecessary radiation.

Image Evaluation and Quality Assurance

Review images immediately after exposure to confirm clarity and diagnostic quality.
Check for correct patient positioning and proper anatomical coverage.
Ensure there are no artifacts (e.g., movement blur, foreign objects).
Repeat imaging only when absolutely necessary to avoid unnecessary radiation exposure.
Maintain high-quality imaging standards to support accurate medical diagnosis.

Equipment Maintenance and Reporting Faults

Perform routine daily equipment checks before use.
Clean and disinfect imaging equipment according to infection control protocols.
