KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS
Receiving goods from suppliers
Receive and verify all deliveries from suppliers against invoices and delivery notes.
Accurately capture receipts into the system and generate Good Receiving Vouchers (GRVs).
Sort and place shipments in correct storage locations.
Ensure same-day receipt and onward delivery of goods to internal/external clients.
Report any discrepancies in quantity or quality to the Supervisor.
Endorse all documentation where discrepancies occur.
Maintain smooth workflow and proper distribution of goods.
Relationship management
Process returns to suppliers according to company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Communicate with internal departments regarding delivery timelines and discrepancies.
Resolve queries related to incorrect goods, pricing variances, and order amendments.
Contact suppliers regarding delivery issues, damaged goods, or incorrect shipments.
Handle returns of unordered or unsatisfactory goods and issue accurate credit notes.
Manage the process for replacement of defective or incorrect items.
Administration and Filling
Maintain organized and accurate records for all Purchase Orders and Goods Return Notes.
Sort and file delivery notes and invoices by relevant Necsa group entities.
Generate and submit reports from the system as required.
Ensure the receiving area is clean, organized, and in compliance with policies.
Allocate goods to correct stocking locations and keep aisles clear.
Execute ad-hoc tasks and projects as assigned by management.
SHEQ Management
Conduct regular Behaviour-Based Safety (BBS) observations to prevent workplace incidents.
Follow warehouse best practices for material handling and storage.
Ensure all PPE is worn and safety procedures are followed.
Regularly clean and maintain the receiving area to eliminate hazards.
Adjust storage layouts as necessary for safe and efficient operations.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
National Diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Warehouse Management, or Business Administration
Additional Short courses in Inventory Control, Procurement, or Materials Handling (advantageous)
Valid Driver's License (code 8/10)
Computer Literacy - especially in: Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
Exposure in Warehouse and Storeroom Operations (advantageous)
1 - 2 years' experience working in an industrial environment, with an understanding of operational and safety protocols.
Solid background in general storeroom and warehouse functions, including inventory control, stock movement, and order fulfilment.
SCM / Accounting Systems and Software exposure
