Our client seeks to appoint an experienced Recoveries Attorney to lead and manage its specialist personal injury and RAF litigation portfolio
This is a focused, high-autonomy role that demands deep RAF Act expertise, rigorous commercial judgment, and the professional maturity to manage sensitive, high-volume matters with discipline and strategic intent
Minimum requirements:
BCom LLB or equivalent dual qualification
Admitted attorney — 5 to 6 years post-admission
Experience specifically in RAF / personal injury plaintiff litigation:
General litigation experience alone is insufficient
Demonstrable RAF Act knowledge and procedural competency
Proven track record in settlement negotiations or pre-trial processes
Quantum assessment capability (general damages, LOE, future medicals)
Strong legal drafting and written communication skills
Ability to independently manage a high-volume matter portfolio
Proficiency in legal practice management software: GhostPractice, Legal Suite, or comparable platform
High Court appearance experience - advantageous
Operational or financial experience within a legal practice - advantageous
Postgraduate study or CPD in insurance, quantum, or commercial law - advantageous
Afrikaans/English proficiency non-negotiable
