Role Purpose:
Lead the development and execution of a unified regional marketing strategy across Rwanda, Uganda, and Kenya, ensuring brand consistency, partner alignment, and commercial impact, while enabling local markets to retain agility.
Key Responsibilities
Define the regional brand portfolio strategy and ensure alignment with group objectives.
Build the annual regional marketing plan, consolidating country inputs and principal requirements.
Lead engagements with brand owners/principals and act as their primary regional marketing interface.
Approve country marketing calendars, A&P budgets, and visibility plans.
Oversee regional market research, competitive mapping, pricing insights, and category intelligence.
Ensure creation and adoption of regional brand toolkits (POS, packaging standards, campaigns).
Monitor marketing ROI, brand performance KPIs, and execution quality in each market.
Facilitate cross-country knowledge sharing and capability building.
Support vendor sourcing decisions through brand fit evaluations and category insights.
Requirements
8 - 12 years in FMCG marketing, with at least 3 years in a senior/regional role.
Strong understanding of trade marketing, brand management, and route-to-market dynamics.
Experience working with multinational principals
Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, and cross-cultural communication skills.
Based in Nairobi; frequent travel across East Africa.
