Requirements


Degree in Sales Management / Marketing / Business Management / Commerce or a related commercial / business field
Relevant experience in applying job related concepts, techniques and processes at the required level
Business English: Fluent
Code 08 Driver's license
Computer literacy (Advanced)
Experience in working with senior management
Travel off-site/ overnight stay

Duties and Responsibilities
Manage the Sales process in an assigned region


Manage Area Sales Managers and / or Field Sales Managers in the region
Increase profit and sales volumes within the region and within product categories
Optimise sales execution through maintaining standard operating procedures
Develop and maintain sound relationships with customers, Key Account Managers, Telesales and Logistics
Implement and measure short and long term sales drivers
Manage cost


Implement and control shelf management initiatives of the Company and Principals


Liaise with product owners, Key Account Managers and Principals
Implement agreed sales programmes
Control shelf management initiatives
Reinforce the Company's merchandising scheme
Monitor inventory stocks
Ensuring outlets maintain product availability of relevant brands
Prevent short dated and expired stock


Performance and Team Development


Manage employee performance and development
Train sub-ordinates according to identified needs
Develop sales and business skills of Account Managers and Merchandisers
Coach sub-ordinates to ensure the required standards of sales execution is met
Identify and develop young talent
