Job Description


The SME Relationship Manager is responsible for building, managing, and sustaining strong relationships with Small and Medium Enterprise (SME) clients.
The role focuses on understanding client needs, providing tailored financial solutions, driving business growth, and ensuring high customer satisfaction.
The SME Relationship Manager will also be accountable for portfolio growth, risk management, and cross-selling bank products and services.


Key Responsibilities


Develop, maintain, and deepen relationships with existing and prospective SME clients.
Serve as the primary point of contact for SME clients, ensuring timely resolution of queries and concerns.
Conduct regular client visits and relationship reviews to assess financial needs and propose suitable banking solutions.
Identify, acquire, and onboard new SME clients to grow the bank's SME portfolio.
Proactively explore opportunities to cross-sell and up-sell financial products (e.g., loans, trade finance, deposits, treasury products, digital solutions).
Conduct credit analysis and prepare credit proposals in line with the bank's risk appetite and lending policies.
Client Relationship Management
Ensure timely renewal of credit facilities and compliance with regulatory and internal credit requirements.
Achieve assigned revenue, deposit, and loan growth targets.


Person Specifications


NCE/ND, HND, B.Sc.
2-3 years in sales and business development within a financial institution.
