About the Role
We are seeking to recruit a Civil Engineer who will be responsible for planning, designing, and overseeing construction and maintenance of building structures, roads, drainage systems, and other civil works. The role involves ensuring structural integrity, quality assurance, cost control, and adherence to statutory and safety standards while supporting project teams to deliver high-impact infrastructure solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Design, plan, and oversee construction and maintenance of civil engineering projects including roads, buildings, bridges, and drainage systems.
Conduct site investigations, feasibility studies, and technical analysis for proposed projects.
Prepare engineering drawings, BOQs, and technical specifications in line with design standards.
Supervise construction works to ensure compliance with design, quality, and safety requirements.
Liaise with architects, contractors, surveyors, and other professionals to coordinate project execution.
Prepare progress reports, cost estimates, and material schedules.
Ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations.
Support tendering and contract administration processes, including review of engineering documentation.
Recommend innovative and sustainable engineering solutions that enhance project efficiency and longevity.
Qualifications, Skills, and Competencies
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field from a recognized institution.
Registered Graduate Engineer with the Engineers Board of Kenya (EBK); Professional Engineer registration will be an added advantage.
Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in civil and structural engineering projects.
Proficiency in engineering software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and structural analysis tools.
Solid understanding of local and international engineering standards and codes.
Strong project management and cost control skills.
Excellent communication, teamwork, and analytical skills.
