On behalf of an internal client, a SACCO is seeking a qualified and detail-oriented Accountant to manage financial records, support accounting operations, prepare financial reports, and ensure compliance with accounting standards, statutory requirements, and SACCO regulations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Maintain accurate books of accounts, general ledger, and financial records
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
Support budgeting, budget monitoring, and variance analysis
Manage cash and bank transactions, including bank reconciliations
Maintain and reconcile member accounts, contributions, and loan repayments
Support loan accounting, receivables recovery, and reporting
Process supplier invoices and payments
Support payroll processing and statutory remittances
Support internal and external audits
Maintain fixed asset records and financial controls
Utilise Microsoft Dynamics 365 for financial posting and reporting
KEY SKILLS & COMPETENCIES
Knowledge of SACCO/cooperative accounting and SASRA requirements
Strong financial reporting, reconciliation, budgeting, and loan accounting skills
High integrity, confidentiality, and attention to detail
Strong analytical, organisational, and communication skills
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
QUALIFICATIONS
Relevant qualification in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or related field
Experience in SACCO/cooperative accounting, financial reporting, reconciliations, and loan accounting is an added advantage
