Roles & Responsibilities
Provide strategic direction and oversight for the Sacco's growth and financial stability.
Ensuring adherence to SASRA guidelines, regulations and all other relevant laws, rules and regulations.
Identify and mitigate risks, enforce internal controls to ensure business continuity.
Chief custodian of all the Sacco assets and ensure their optimum utilization.
Overseeing budgeting, liquidity and investment portfolio management to ensure long-term sustainability and returns to shareholders.
Spearheading digital transformation and innovation for operational efficiency and service excellence.
Foster a conducive corporate culture that promotes strong ethical practices, good governance and employee productivity.
Implementation of the Sacco's Strategic Plan, policies and business plans.
Grow the Sacco business both FOSA and BOSA in terms of products, loan portfolio and revenues and assets as stipulated in the Strategic Plan.
Build and maintain strategic partnerships with regulators and other stakeholders.
Ensure compliance with all statutory requirements & relevant bodies.
Setting up performance management system and evaluation of staff performance.
Manage the Sacco's budget ensuring spending is in line with overall approved budget.
Timely preparation and presentation of various progress reports to Board of Directors.
Any other lawful duty that may be assigned by the Board of Directors.
Attributes/Skills
Strategic and visionary leadership with strong commercial acumen.
Strong knowledge of Sacco business model and regulatory framework governing Deposit-Taking Saccos.
Must possess a high degree of integrity, ethical judgement and commitment to transparency and accountability.
Results driven, with excellent analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills.
Effective communicator with strong interpersonal influencing and negotiation skills.
Minimum Qualifications
A Bachelor's degree in Finance or its equivalent from a recognized university.
Master's degree in Business Administration or a related discipline from a recognized university is an added advantage.
A member of a professional body in good standing.
Minimum 2 years' experience in senior management position in a Deposit Taking Sacco.
Age 30 years and above.
