Summary
Java Construction is seeking a qualified and experienced Safety Officer to join our team.
Key Responsibilities
Ensure compliance with company safety policies and applicable HSE regulations.
Conduct regular site inspections and identify potential hazards and risks.
Enforce the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
Conduct toolbox talks, safety briefings, and safety training for workers.
Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses and prepare reports.
Monitor safe work practices and recommend corrective actions where necessary.
Maintain accurate HSE records, reports, and documentation.
Promote a strong safety culture across construction sites.
Requirements
HND or B.Sc. in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Health, Engineering, or a related field.
3 - 10 years of relevant experience, preferably in the construction industry.
Relevant HSE certification is an added advantage.
Good knowledge of construction site safety practices and HSE regulations.
Strong communication, observation, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced construction environment.
