Primary Purpose and Scope the Job
The Sales Data Clerk is responsible for accurately capturing, updating, and maintaining sales-related data to support reporting, analysis, and operational efficiency. The role ensures that sales records, customer information, and transaction details are properly documented, accurate, and easily retrievable.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Verify the accuracy of sales entries, invoices, and receipts
Maintain organized sales records and databases
Prepare routine sales reports and summaries
Reconcile sales figures with supporting documents
Identify and report discrepancies or missing data
Assist the sales and accounts teams with data requests
Ensure data confidentiality, accuracy, and integrity
Support filing and documentation of sales paperwork
Receive, review, and process customer orders (LPOs, emails, calls)
Ensure timely and accurate order entry into the system
Track pending and completed orders
Coordinate order confirmation, pricing, and product availability
Perform any other duties as assigned
Job specifications:
Qualifications
Certificate or Diploma in Business, IT, Accounting, or a related field
Experience
One year experience in data entry, sales administration, or clerical work is an added advantage
