About the Role
BERL is seeking a commercially driven Sales/Procurement Engineer to support business growth through technical sales, sourcing, procurement, and client relationship management.
The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying business opportunities, preparing proposals and bids, sourcing technical products and services, and ensuring the successful delivery of client requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Identify and pursue business opportunities within the Oil & Gas, Energy, Engineering, and Industrial sectors.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and key stakeholders.
Prepare technical and commercial proposals, quotations, and tender submissions.
Source technical equipment, materials, and services from local and international suppliers.
Evaluate supplier quotations and negotiate pricing, delivery schedules, and commercial terms.
Coordinate procurement activities from requisition to delivery.
Review and interpret technical specifications, drawings, and datasheets.
Recommend suitable products and solutions based on client requirements.
Liaise with engineering, logistics, and operations teams to ensure timely project execution.
Monitor order fulfilment, shipping activities, and delivery timelines.
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
3 - 5 years' experience in Technical Sales, Procurement, Supply Chain, Engineering Support, or Business Development.
Experience within an EPC, Oil & Gas, Energy, Manufacturing, or Industrial Services environment is highly preferred.
Proven experience in international sourcing, procurement, tendering, and bid management.
Strong understanding of logistics, shipping documentation, and supply chain processes.
Ability to interpret mechanical, electrical, and engineering drawings.
Ability to analyse technical datasheets and specifications.
Strong negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and relevant ERP/Procurement systems.
