Job Summary
The Sales Representative is responsible for driving revenue growth, increasing product visibility, and delivering exceptional customer service within the retail pharmacy.
The role involves promoting OTC products, wellness items, medical devices, and other pharmacy merchandise while ensuring compliance with professional standards and regulatory guidelines set by the Pharmacists Council of Nigeria (PCN).
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Revenue Generation:
Achieve and exceed assigned daily, weekly, and monthly sales targets.
Promote OTC medicines, supplements, cosmetics, medical devices, and wellness products.
Cross-sell and upsell complementary products appropriately.
Customer Service & Relationship Management:
Greet customers warmly and provide professional assistance.
Respond to inquiries about product availability, pricing, and basic usage guidance.
Escalate prescription-related and clinical inquiries to the Pharmacist.
Product Knowledge & Merchandising:
Maintain strong knowledge of pharmacy products and new arrivals.
Ensure shelves are well-stocked, properly labeled, and attractively displayed.
Monitor product expiry dates and report near-expiry items.
Inventory & Reporting:
Assist with stock receiving and reconciliation.
Monitor fast-moving and slow-moving products.
Prepare basic daily sales reports.
Compliance & Ethics:
Adhere strictly to pharmacy policies and SOPs.
Ensure no prescription-only medicines are sold without proper authorization.
Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
Requirements & Qualifications
Minimum of OND (Marketing, Business Administration, or related field preferred).
1 - 3 years sales experience (pharmacyexperience is an advantage).
Strong understanding of retail sales principles.
Basic computer knowledge and POS proficiency.
Good communication and persuasion skills.
