Support assay development and evaluation by assisting with the validation, optimisation, and implementation of genetic testing methodologies.

Qualifications
B.Sc. Honours Degree or Bachelor of Health Science in Medical Laboratory Sciences.
HPCSA registration as a Bachelor of Health Science in Medical Laboratory Sciences (BHSc MLS) in Cytogenetics.
HPCSA registration as a Medical Scientist IN Huma Genetics/Genetics/Molecular Biology.
Experience
Minimum of 2 years' experience in a Molecular Genetics and/or Human Genetics laboratory environment.
Knowledge & Skills
Ability to use computer technology and laboratory systems effectively.
Ability to read, write, and communicate fluently in English and Afrikaans.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage professionally with colleagues, clients, and stakeholders.
Ability to perform basic numerical calculations, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and percentages.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy when analysing laboratory data.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Commitment to quality, compliance, and continuous improvement.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced laboratory environment.
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
