We have an exciting opportunity to join Amadeus Eastern Africa as a Senior Account Executive. This is a rare and excellent opportunity to play a key role in driving growth, strengthening customer relationships, and expanding market share within the region.
In this role, you will influence decisions, anticipate dependencies in complex scenarios, contribute to transversal projects, propose improvements to processes and be accountable for own and team commitments.​ You will report directly to the General Manager.
We are particularly interested in a dynamic and results‑driven professional who is ready to take on a new challenge and is passionate about our organization. The ideal candidate will bring a strong blend of commercial acumen, regional experience, and a collaborative mindset, along with the following:
Proven experience with Amadeus IT product range, or in IT solution sales, account management, or a similar role within a commercial/business environment
Demonstrated success in managing multiple accounts and driving sales opportunities to closure
Experience supporting and managing business across multiple countries within Eastern Africa
Background in the private sector, preferably within multinational organizations
Strong financial awareness with the ability to understand and support commercial decision-making
Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment, effectively prioritize competing demands, and consistently deliver results under pressure
Highly target‑driven, with a strong track record of meeting or exceeding performance goals
A collaborative team player with a positive, proactive mindset and strong interpersonal skills


Main Duties and Responsibilities


Develop and grow existing customer accounts, ensuring high satisfaction and identifying opportunities to improve profitability and efficiency
Identify and pursue new business opportunities, taking ownership from lead generation to deal closure
Support the delivery and implementation of new products and solutions within agreed timelines
Manage and respond to customer operational requests in a timely and effective manner
Ensure customers fully leverage Amadeus solutions to achieve performance and productivity targets
Keep customers informed of new product releases and enhancements
Support resolution of product or technical issues in collaboration with internal teams
Partner with Pre‑Sales and Customer Success teams to deliver integrated customer solutions
Collaborate with Commercial Operations to secure business case approvals for renewals and market-share development.


As a Senior Account Executive you are expected to:


Demonstrate strong alignment with the values and objectives of Amadeus
Think strategically, identify innovative solutions, and actively contribute to the overall success of the organization
Collaborate effectively across departments, including Finance, IT, Marketing, and other key teams


Other requirements:


Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
Minimum of 10 years' experience working as an Account/Sales Manager
