Key Responsibilities
Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounting records and financial transactions.
Prepare and post journal entries, ensuring proper supporting documentation and approvals.
Perform daily and monthly bank, cash, customer, supplier, and general ledger reconciliations.
Monitor accounts receivable and payable, including invoice processing, collections, and supplier payments.
Follow up on outstanding customer balances and prepare receivables ageing reports.
Support the preparation of monthly management accounts, financial statements, and financial reports.
Review revenue and expenses across the Group's various business units, including cinemas, hospitality, retail, warehousing, and facility management.
Ensure proper recording and reconciliation of sales, cash collections, POS transactions, online payments, and other revenue streams.
Assist with budgeting, forecasting, cash-flow monitoring, and variance analysis.
Maintain proper records for fixed assets, inventory, expenses, and other financial accounts.
Support statutory tax computations, filings, audits, and other regulatory requirements.
Assist with internal and external audit processes by providing accurate schedules and supporting documents.
Monitor compliance with accounting policies, internal controls, and approved financial procedures.
Identify accounting discrepancies, investigate variances, and recommend corrective actions.
Assist in strengthening financial controls and improving accounting processes across the Group.
Perform other finance-related duties as assigned by management.
Requirements & Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree or HND in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline.
Professional accounting qualification such as ICAN, ACCA, or equivalent is an added advantage.
5 - 7 years' relevant accounting experience, preferably in a diversified group, hospitality, retail, entertainment, facility management, warehousing, or related environment.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, reconciliations, and internal controls.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting/ERP software.
Experience handling high-volume transactions and multiple business units will be an advantage.
Good knowledge of Nigerian tax and statutory requirements.
