Senior Engineer, Plot and Utilities Design
Undertakes the training of Employees in the department
Attends project meetings
Takes up a team lead position even across disciplines
Liaises with Clients, professional organisations, contractors, suppliers, trade contractors and other designers.
Identifies and meets the requirements and expectations of the project.
Develops conceptual designs and generates detailed layouts, and reviews engineering designs for efficiency and ease of construction
Takes ownership of projects while providing leadership for other engineers
Takes decisions on selection criteria for different piping and cable routing networks,
Preparation of Tender Documents with the Team Lead
Analysing technical drawings and providing material quantities.
Delegating tasks and ensuring workers receive feedback.
Create the work instructions
Ensuring correctness and accuracy by reviewing estimates
Accountability for assigned work with attention to detail is a must
Co-ordinates and undertakes discrete packages of work with other team members and disciplines (under the direction of the technical lead, mainly for larger projects).
Provides specialised technical input for infrastructural designs.
Executes the development of technical proposals.
Executes and supervises preparation of specifications, schedules, drawings, calculations and any other contract deliverables when needed.
Reviews design and shop drawings
Receives, distributes, issues and tracks design files and documentation in accordance with PTN policy

QUALIFICATIONS
Engineering Degree Required.
Must be COREN registered
Minimum of 5years of hands-on experience in Infrastructure Services Engineering.
Technical Competencies
Senior Engineer with the following qualifications and skills:
Minimum of a Second-Class Upper Division degree (B.Sc. or M.Sc.) in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or Water Resources Engineering.
At least 5 years of post-NYSC experience.
Proficiency in the design of roads, drainage systems, and culverts.
Expertise in analysing flows in pipe networks, including stormwater drainage, water distribution, and sewage reticulation.
Experience in designing Water Treatment Plants (WTP) and Sanitary Treatment Plants (STP).
Proficient use of AutoCAD and Civil 3D for road design, pipe networks, design calculations, and material measurements.
Competence in hydraulic design software such as EPANET, SSA, and HY-8.
Knowledge of Revit software is an added advantage.
Ability to use GIS applications (e.g., Google Earth, Global Mapper, and ESRI platforms) to support design processes.
Strong attention to detail and accountability for assigned tasks.
