Job Summary
A Senior Mechanical Engineerleads complex design, development, and testing of mechanical systems from concept to completion, ensuring compliance with standards, budget, and timelines.
They utilizeCADandFEM toolsto analyze, improve, and troubleshoot products while mentoring junior engineers, managing stakeholders, and providing technical expertise to optimize manufacturing processes.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Leadership:
Lead mechanical design projects, including 3D modeling, simulation, and 2D documentation (e.g., CATIA V5, NX).
Project Management:
Manage project schedules, budgets, and deliverables, ensuring adherence to quality and regulatory standards.
Analysis & Testing:
Perform FEA, CFD, or tolerance analysis and oversee prototype testing to validate designs.
Collaboration & Mentoring:Collaborate with cross-functional teams and mentor junior engineers.
Troubleshooting:Identify and resolve design or production issues in the field.
Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
Experience:
5-10+ years in design, manufacturing, or product development.
Skills:
Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, Catia, NX), GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing), and FEA tools.
Leadership:
Strong project management, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Typical Requirements:
