Qualifications
Degree in procurement/purchasing / supplies / logistics management or any other related field.
Diploma in clearing & forwarding will be an added advantage.
Certificate from kra on the use of icms, kentrade etc. Is a must.
Experience
5 years working experience including at least three years within a manufacturing environment.
Erp usage experience an added advantage.
Main responsibilities
Stocks availability on time and in full: weekly monitor of inventory based on min/max to eliminate stock out. Keep sufficient buffer stocks on critical imported material.
Price negotiation on raw and pack materials: close monitor on current market price drivers to avoid high material cost. Monitor international market pricing in comparison with local prevailing prices with an aim to source the most competitive.
Supplier visit and audit: regular supplier visits to establish better relationship and foster company agenda (price, delivery, schedules etc).
Monitor inventory movement: monitor slow moving and non-moving items and circulate reports and possible liquidation plan and follow through. Working capital management: reduce overall working capital by reducing stock holding at all locations.
Financial audit: provide support and documentation for audit inquiries, reviews, and examinations.
Salary: kshs. 120,000 - 150,000 plus company benefits
