Requirements
BSc (Eng) / BEng degree in Electrical Engineering.
Registered Professional Electrical Engineer.
A minimum of 5 - 8 years relevant post graduate experience.
Detailed knowledge of the OHS Act the Regulations.
Communication and negotiation skills.
Financial analysis and competency in using SAP.
A high degree of computer literacy.
Key Performance Areas
Applies a body of professional knowledge coupled with experience to develop and implement a full range of programmes, systems, policies and practices in relation to professional discipline within the Transmission System Development Section to effect service delivery to customers
Develop, design and engineer approved projects and associated contracts for extensions to and replacement of equipment on the high voltage system as well as complex projects for other branches
Manages approved projects and associated contracts for extensions to and replacement of equipment on the high voltage system as well as complex projects for other branches
Drafts and manages contracts for extensions to and replacement of equipment on the high voltage system as well as complex projects for other branches.
Communicating with fellow professionals as well as internal and external clients to work on issues of common interest and to share information.
Compiling and managing documentation of a complex and involved nature to facilitate the functioning of the Department/ Branch
