Job Description


JMG is looking for a highly driven and experienced Senior Sales Executive (Generator) to join our commercial team.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving sales of generator sets, and power solutionswhile building strong relationships with clients across industrial, commercial, and residential sectors.
This role requires excellent technical understanding of generators, strong negotiation skills, and a proven track record in power equipment sales.


Key Responsibilities
Sales & Business Development:


Identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities for generator sales.
Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve revenue targets and market expansion goals.
Respond to inquiries, prepare proposals, quotations, and sales presentations tailored to customer requirements.


Client Relationship Management:


Build and maintain long term relationships with key clients, contractors, consultants, and project stakeholders.
Provide technical guidance to customers regarding generator sizing, specifications, and product suitability.
Follow up on leads, manage customer accounts, and ensure excellent after sales support.


Market & Competitor Analysis:


Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and market demands to identify opportunities for growth.
Conduct site visits, feasibility assessments, and provide input on product positioning.
Support the marketing team with market insights for campaigns and promotions.


Technical & Product Expertise:


Demonstrate solid understanding of diesel and gas generators, power ratings, load calculations, and installation requirements.
Work closely with engineering and service teams for accurate technical specifications and solution development.
Provide product training and demonstrations to clients when needed.


Reporting & Documentation:


Prepare weekly and monthly sales reports, forecasts, and pipeline updates.
Maintain accurate CRM records of leads, opportunities, and customer interactions.
Ensure all proposals, contracts, and negotiations comply with company policies.


Qualifications
Education:


Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Electrical/Mechanical), Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
Technical training in power systems or generators is an added advantage.


Experience


5 - 7 years of proven experience as a Sales Executive / Senior Sales Executive in generator sales, power solutions, or industrial equipment.
Demonstrated success in selling diesel/gas generators
Strong existing customer network in construction, industrial, telecom, real estate, or energy sectors is preferred.


Skills & Competencies


Strong knowledge of generator specifications, brands, power ratings, and installation requirements.
Excellent sales negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
Ability to interpret technical drawings, load calculations, and generator sizing.
High level of commercial awareness and problem solving ability.
Proficiency with MS Office and CRM tools.
Ability to work independently and meet aggressive sales targets.
