Job Description


We are seeking a skilled Solar Installation Engineer to join our energy solutions team.
The role involves designing, installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting solar power systems for residential, commercial, and industrial clients.
The ideal candidate will have hands on experience with solar installation, strong technical knowledge, and a passion for sustainable energy.


Key Responsibilities
Installation & Commissioning:


Install solar PV systems, including panels, inverters, mounting structures, batteries, and electrical components.
Conduct site assessments, roof evaluations, and shading analyses.
Ensure all installation work is completed safely, efficiently, and according to engineering standards.


System Design & Technical Support:


Assist in designing solar energy systems based on client needs and site conditions.
Prepare technical drawings, system layouts, and load calculations.
Support sales and project teams with technical information and solution recommendations.


Maintenance & Troubleshooting:


Perform routine maintenance checks and corrective repairs on solar systems.
Diagnose issues with solar panels, inverters, wiring, and electrical connections.
Ensure optimal system performance and provide timely technical support to clients.


Compliance & Documentation:


Ensure all installations comply with local regulations, safety standards, and company guidelines.
Maintain accurate project documentation including installation reports, test results, and commissioning records.
Provide system operation training to clients post installation.


Teamwork & Customer Service:


Coordinate with project managers, electricians, technicians, and subcontractors during installations.
Provide excellent customer service and support during and after project execution.
Represent the company professionally during site visits and client interactions.


Qualifications
Education:


Bachelor's degree or Higher National Diploma (HND) in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
Certifications in solar PV installation or renewable energy technologies are an added advantage.


Experience:


2 - 5 years hands on experience in solar PV installation, electrical installation, or energy systems engineering.
Experience working with off grid, on-grid, hybrid, and battery storage systems is preferred.
Familiarity with inverter brands, solar monitoring systems, and PV design tools is an advantage.


Skills & Competencies:


Strong understanding of solar PV technologies and electrical systems.
Solid installation, wiring, and testing skills.
Knowledge of safety standards, electrical codes, and installation best practices.
Good communication, teamwork, and customer service skills.
Physical ability to work at heights and in outdoor environments.
Proficiency with basic power tools and installation equipment.
